Social Media Club Corpus Christi brings you BizCamp Corpus Christi, the first event of it’s kind in Corpus Christi. The unconference will center around three themes: the Entrepreneurial Experience, Marketing for Small Business, and Business Technology. Neovia Solutions will be among the speakers.

The event is patterned after a BarCamp — an event popular in the Web 2.0 community. The reason it’s called an unconference is that it’s somewhat adhoc and highly participative, with the agenda influenced by the attendees.

Social Media Strategy for Small Business: In this workshop you will actually create your social media strategy using the POST method developed by Forrester research analysts. You will receive a technographics profile for your target customers/clients, outline your objectives and develop a strategy for achieving your goals. You will also be introduced to the technology and tools to help you succeed in social media.
Social Media Strategy for Non-Profits: The non-profit world has been accustomed to shoe-string budgets and boot-strapping for a long time. Social media can make your small (or even non-existent) marketing budget go far. You’ll receive information on using social media and other digital tools to build awareness, promote events, stay in contact with members, fund raise, and keep overhead costs down with online collaborative tools.
